A collective of pearl farmers holds monthly Global Pearl auctions through a private organization. These exclusive events are open only to major wholesalers responsible for the global distribution of Black Pearls. While physical attendance is restricted to maintain wholesaler confidentiality, it is now possible to bid on these lots remotely and secure pearls at highly competitive prices.   1. How to Apply for a Wholesaler Account:

There are few ways to qualify for a VIP Wholesaler account:

  • Free Upgrade: After making regular purchases totaling over USD 2,000 per month for two consecutive months, your account will be automatically upgraded to VIP Wholesaler status. No Deposit required for bidding on items in our (Online Store)
  • Free Upgrade: A total of 50,000USD total purchase within the past 12 Months. No Deposit required for bidding on items in our (Online Store)
  • Direct Application: Send an email to sales@cmwpearls.com to request an account upgrade. The application process requires the following:
    • Company Verification: Provide your company registration documents and verify the identity of the designated purchaser.
    • USD 100 Deposit: A refundable USD 100 deposit is required to ensure the commitment of bidding offers. Declining an accepted offer without a valid reason will result in a warning. Three warnings lead to deposit forfeiture and potential loss of VIP Wholesaler status.
    • Signed Terms and Conditions: Sign and company-stamp our Terms and Conditions document.
  1. Bidding on Lots vs. Individual Items:
  • Individual Items: VIP Wholesalers can bid on any item listed on our website using the "Make Your Offer" feature.
  • Wholesale Lots: VIP Wholesalers can also bid on entire lots during our monthly private auctions in Hong Kong. The auctions event feature approximately 350-450 lots (Available for inspection across 4-5 days of offline auctions).  To streamline the process, please specify:
    • Pearl Grade: The desired pearl grade(s).
    • Pearl Shape: The desired pearl shape(s).
    • Pearl Size: The desired pearl size(s).
    • Price Range: Your estimated price range.

We will share exclusive live videos and pictures of the lots via WhatsApp or WeChat (one of these is required). We will inform you of the auction date, allowing you to book a dedicated  Maximum of one-hour time slot.

Bidding on Wholesale Lots - Important Considerations:

  • Offer Commitment: Declining accepted offers can result in heavy penalties.
  • Initial Bidding Limits: For your first few auctions, bids may be capped at USD 2,500 unless a 50% deposit is made for the lot.
  • No Guarantee Purchase:
    Offer placement does not guarantee a sale, and we have no access to information regarding the highest bidder during the auction as the organization do not disclose any informatino. We are only notified of our own winning bids, typically one day after the auction closes.

Q&A:

  • 1. Item Bidding Refunds (Online Store): Refunds may be possible depending on the order specifics or if an incorrect item was shipped. Pearls that have been drilled are non-refundable.
  • 2. Wholesale Lot Auction Refunds: Due to the involvement of multiple farmers and the organization, refunds are not possible for wholesale lot auction purchases.
  • 3. VIP Wholesaler Status Expiration: Inactivity for three months will result in a warning. After two weeks of continued inactivity, your VIP Wholesaler status will be revoked, and any deposit will be forfeited. This applies to any account
